Welcome to Open Canoe Paddling in France
Firstly, we don't do the riverside 'plastic boat for half day' hire type stuff, sorry.
We are OC paddlers who have been living in SW France for more than 16 years so have hosted a lot of paddlers in that time.
Most people want to make the most of their holiday and don't have time (or sometimes enough French) to get it all together so we've been helping them via Song of The Paddle for a while now.
Even finding a decent Open Canoe for hire can be a tough thing to do especially if you want to paddle in March, April or September, October.
We aim to make open canoe paddling in the Massif Central easy.
Whether you want complete outfitting package with accommodation bookings or just want to hire a decent open boat, our aim is to make it possible for you to just hop on a train or a budget flight or a days drive ... then paddle the stunning rivers of the Massif Central.

We are open
COVID Update...
We are happy to say that we are now open again following the relaxation of the isolation rules here in France.
There are a few changes to services and routes which have been enforced by the measures needed but we will still do everything we can to make your trip work for you.
Obviously alll gear will be handled in accordance with the COVID guidance with complete cleansing between all trips etc.
